Almost my Birthday!

Tomorrow is my birthday and I feel old!

My mom was in the hospital earlier this week. She was having stroke symptoms... but comes to find out she just has a B12 defiencey. I have a few more days of school left then I will be done.

Dora Dora Dora

Matt's mom got here Saturday night. She took Jaicee to see Dora Explorer Live today at Nokia Theater. Matt and I went to pick up the computer from Frys. Then we met Matt's mom and Jaicee at my moms house. We all went swimming for a while. Jaicee loved Dora. It was her birthday present from his mom.

Those are pics from Lexie's 8th Birthday. Stephen LOVED skating. We couldn't keep him off the skating floor. He tried and wanted to do it by himself but he couldn't quite do it. We are getting all the kids baptised on August 8th in Shreveport. We are getting at the same place I was baptised so its going to be special.

Jaicee's cheer coach told me yesterday that Jaicee was going to be a flyer. Which is the person that they lift up in the air. I asked Jaicee about it and she replied, "Yes mom.... I love flowers, they smell good". Ha ha ha.

I have one more week of clinicals. Then my next week is doing NCLEX review. Which is the test we have to take to get our liscence. Then the next week I have one test and then I'm DONE. I graduate August 4th. I'm soooooo excited! Can't wait to be working.

Update

Those are some of our highlites from 4th of July. We had a great time. Me, Matt, Stephen, Jaicee, Holly, Curtis, Ainsley, Courtney, Jami, Josh, Christian, and Damien all went to my mom and dad's house. We BBQed hot dogs and hamburgers for lunch and chicken and ribs for lunch. We stayed in the pool most of the day. Everyone except me and dad went to see fireworks... I didn't make it :)

Grandma started her Chemo yesterday. I talked to her and she seemed be doing good. Said she wasn't nauseated yet. Hopefully she is doing good still today.

On Tuesday I got to be in the NICU (Neonatal ICU) at school. I got to watch a live vag birth of a 30W lady. Baby was so tiny, about 3lbs. I watched them put in a breathing tube. It was an amazing day. I think that is what I want to do, but I will have to get my RN first. I dont have school on Thursdays anymore. I have 3 weeks until I graduate. The time is almost here. I'm just ready to say, "I'm a Nurse".

Jaicee started back cheer this week. They can lift her up into a stunt and she stays up there by herself. Its amazing how much she has learned in the past year. She is going to be an awesome cheerleader. And she loves it. After I get a job and stuff we plan on putting her back into dance once a week. I think she misses it a little.

Bad News

Grandma had her PET scan today. Said the cancer had taken over her liver basically. Dr said that he could treat the cancer but it would not be curable. I don't quite understand but I think they basically gave her 2 years. I just hope he is wrong.

Madness from the Manhards

Monday Stephen started running a fever AGAIN. So, off to the doctor we went. This time he tested positive for STREP THROAT. He is ALWAYS sick. Brian has been extremely fussy and has had some nasal drainage... so I took him today to get teste, but it was negative. Wish I knew what his problem is. Matt said he is going to drop him off at the fire station if he doesn't start acting right :). I didn't have school today. Tomorrow instead of going to the State Hospital... we are going to watch My sister's keeper. Do you know how long its been since I have been to a movie theater? Since before I had Jaicee. So, 4 years. Crazyness. Can't wait till the kids are all old enough to go a movie.

Found out my Cousin Chase is having a BOY! Thats what he wanted so I'm excited for them.
