Barium Swallow

So, Brian had his barium swallow this morning with a speech pathologist. It was pretty cool. They made us put lead gowns on and we watched from the side. The first procedure they made him swallow the barium and watched it all the way through the stomach. Next they sat him a little carseat looking thing and gave him barium and changed the consistancy of the liquid and changed the flow of the nipples. He drank that and they took xrays to make sure none of it was going into his lungs. It was pretty neat to watch. He had no problems swallowing the stuff and didn't cry at all. The doctor there said everything looked great to him. So, we will do the sleep study on Thursday. My teacher at school had to take her son to the same place we are going on Thursday. She said that the pulse ox on his toe is visible. I'm curious to see what his pulse ox stays at when he is alseep all night, so I'm happy that I will be able to see it.

After we went there we stopped and got the kids some clothes for Easter presents. Jaicee needed some new shoes. The mall we went to didn't have hardly anything so I was a little disappointed. Oh well.... Well, its almost time to take Jaicee to cheer practice. She is excited to show all her friends her new shoes that light up.
